For a long time Kyle Kirvay pursued bodybuilding, where he rose to fame and secured an IFBB Pro card. However, a few years ago he realized how much potential he had in a different sport — Powerlifting. His interest quickly grew into passion and resulted in him becoming one of the most powerful people on earth, as seen in his performance at the 2025 ABS Rumble 2, which took place on October 11 in California. There Kyle managed to set a new 1,125-kilogram (2,480.2-pound) Raw Total All-Time World Record in the 140-kilogram weight class.

Kyle Kirvay’s 2025 ABS Rumble 2 Performance Overview

Kyle Kirvay weighed in at 136.6 kilograms (301.2 pounds), which placed him in the U140KG weight class with room to spare. This also means that Kyle is able to pack on even more mass while still matching the requirement for his division. So, while he is already putting up incredible results, he will certainly get even stronger in the future.

Kyle Kirvay missed two out of nine attempts during his performance at the 2025 ABS Rumble 2. Despite that, he managed to set a new Total All-Time World Record and won gold at the competition.

Squat

Kyle Kirvay started off with a 395-kilogram (870.8-pound) squat, which moved like a warm-up. So, he moved on to 425 kilograms (937 pounds) for his second attempt, which looked smooth once again. So, everyone, including Kyle, expected his final attempt to be successful. Unfortunately, after loading 440 kilograms (970 pounds) on the bar, Kyle suffered a quad injury, which resulted in an unsuccessful lift.

  • 425 kilograms (937 pounds) — Competition PR
  • Unsuccessful — 440 kilograms (970 pounds)

Bench Press

Despite his injury, Kyle Kirvay decided to push through the competition. So, he crushed his bench press session, achieving a lift of 290 kilograms (639.3 pounds) on his final attempt. This increased his lead and marked a new competition PR for the IFBB Pro.

  • 250 kilograms (551.2 pounds)
  • 275 kilograms (606.3 pounds)
  • 290 kilograms (639.3 pounds) — Competition PR

Deadlift

The deadlift was a worrying event for both Kyle Kirvay and the fans, as the extent of his injury was unknown, meaning that any excessive strain could potentially add to the damage. However, with a goal of setting a new Total World Record and claiming the gold medal, Kyle decided to push himself to the limits. He pulled 410 kilograms (903.9 pounds) on his second attempt, marking a new competition PR and his heaviest deadlift of the day. Kyle tried to lift 440 kilograms (970 pounds) on his last attempt, but it was simply out of his reach on the day.

  • 375 kilograms (826.7 pounds)
  • 410 kilograms (903.9 pounds) — Competition PR
  • Unsuccessful — 440 kilograms (970 pounds)

Total — 1,125 kilograms (2,480.2 pounds) — U140KG All-Time World Record

*Kyle Kirvay also held the previous U140KG Raw Total All-Time World Record of 1,102.5-kg (2,430.6-lb), which he set at the 2024 PLU American Pro 3.

Kyle Kirvay’s powerlifting resume now boasts four sanctioned appearances, all of which resulted in a gold medal for him. He also already holds an All-Time World Record, which is an achievement that the large majority of powerlifters never manage to reach. In addition to that, Kyle holds one of the most prestigious achievements in bodybuilding, having won an IFBB Pro card by topping the Men’s Open and Classic Physique leaderboards at the 2018 NPC Universe Championships. He then appeared in the 2020 IFBB Chicago Pro, where he placed 16th.
