In addition to experiences with PEDs, Wheels has talked with fans about his other problems with addiction, which varied in the form of substances and X-rated content. Although he has expressed concern about the damage PEDs may have done to his body, it seems that his inability to get control over his sex addiction posed the biggest threat to his health and well-being.
Larry Wheels Dives Deep Into His Behavioral Addictions w/ Adult Content
Larry Wheels recently discussed a difficult topic on the Straight Outta The Lair podcast with Flex Lewis where he was candid about how his addiction to sex affected his life. Wheels stated that he turned to online cam girls as there were no strip clubs in Dubai, which also cost a lot of money.
” I found a way to blow all my money on sex addiction. I wasn’t frequenting strip clubs in Dubai because there aren’t any. There’s no strip clubs in Dubai. And there’s sites like stripchat and cam sites and I found myself on there and the rest is history.
It became just the worst thing I had to deal with in Dubai because it was near impossible to get out of that habit. It was a legitimate addiction. Just like porn addiction only way worse because now money was involved.”
Flex Lewis asked how much money was Larry sinking into his addiction and Wheels stated,
“Probably like five figures a day. Bad. It was bad. It was very bad.”
Furthermore, Wheels explained that his sex addiction was fueled by his use of PEDs which would often rocket his libido to ridiculously high levels. When he realized that he couldn’t get it under control, he gave his ex viewing access to his finances to keep him in check.
Though this worked for some time, after they broke up, he found himself falling right back into his old habits. Wanting to gain control of his addiction once and for all, he gave his current partner the same access and explained that this was the solution to get ahead of his problem.
“The way I figured out how to stop it, nip it in the butt, you know give your girl access to your bank account.”
“I fell back into that habit again and my fiancé, I told her ‘this is something I’m struggling with and I’d love your help and this what worked in the past.’ We got that system in place and it works, man. It saved my life. She saved my life because if it wasn’t for her and giving her that full transparency, where would I be today?”
Granted that Larry Wheels has found a way to control his impulses, he still fears a relapse could lead to him losing everything.
“Strong libido is such a distraction. You know I hate it. I think about, you know, having a strong libido and I think about that time in my life you know which wasn’t too long ago you know. It’s dangerous for me. It’s dangerous cause I know it’s still in me and I think anyone that’s struggled with addiction gambling, alcohol, whatever it is I think you only end up dead or homeless from addiction. Even with my addiction that’s where i’d be if i didn’t get it under control.”
Despite his history of addictions, Larry Wheels has proven to be a valuable member of the fitness, bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, and arm-wrestling communities. Fans look forward to seeing him showcase his physique in his Classic Physique debut on the horizon.
