Few men in history were/are as feared as “Iron” Mike Tyson who no one could dispute is a boxing icon. But even scarier is that he can still hit as hard (or close) and move as swiftly at age 53. The former undisputed heavyweight world champion recently released some clips of him training that would make any grown man question their own perceived badassery.
However, he has shown before, after his boxing years were long in the past, that he still has brutal power and impressive movement. This recent clip was actually to help promote Smartcups (innovative beverage manufacturing company). But it received so much attention from celebrities because, well, it’s Mike Tyson!
Check it out below…
The post read…
“Anything is possible when you are smart about it. Train Smart. Recover Smarter,” which again, was to promote the brand.

But what this video clip also showed is that regardless of what your discipline of choice is, legends of any sport deserve admiration. And this was certainly evident by the fact that his post was acknowledged by any and everyone.
And at the end of the clip, you can hear Tyson say, “I’m back“.
Well, there’s enough suspicion to believe Tyson is thinking of making a comeback. This after fellow boxing legend and former opponent, Evander Holyfield said he’d be coming back to the ring for exhibition matches for a good cause.
Holyfield is a few years older than Tyson though at 57 and for those who don’t know, he beat Tyson twice when both were still involved in the sport. And for those who remember, Tyson bit off a piece of Holyfield’s ear which no one could ever forget.
This is what Holyfield wrote in the comeback post…
“Are you ready? The moment you’ve all been waiting for…
The Champ is back! I’d like to announce that I will be making a comeback to the ring. I will be fighting in exhibition matches for a great cause”

According to Bareknuckle Fighting Championship President David Feldman is open to many possibilities in working with Mike Tyson of which he was offered a very large contract…
“While we did make a guaranteed offer of $20 million for Mike [Tyson] to fight for BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships), we’re open to many different options as to how we can work together”. “Obviously, the excitement of seeing Mike’s video showing himself training and desire to participate in exhibitions inspired us to reach out and make the offer.”
That would be very exciting and fans would no doubt be super hyped about a potential matchup between the two legends. However, we’ll have to wait and see how things unfold.
And for those wondering, here are some of the Instagram comments made by many familiar names…
Actor/comedian Martin Lawrence commented, “Aight guess I can scratch out any @miketyson jokes for the future. Not even gonna go there“. Then TV personality Steve Harvey wrote, “Man oh man Lawd ham mercy!!!! This was the last great heavyweight CHAMP!!!!!! One MO Time!!!!”
