Mitchell Hooper’s Full Day of Eating on a Bulking Diet
Mitchell Hooper currently sits at around 320 pounds, but he wants to increase his bodyweight up to 330 pounds by the time the 2025 Arnold Strongman Classic rolls around. So, in order to steadily increase his weight, Hooper has decided to implement a bulking diet.
Meal One
Many Strongmen have a hard time intaking the adequate number of calories, simply because of how large they are. So, Mitchell Hooper relies on his shake made of Greek Yogurt and Orange Juice, which on its own has 370 calories. It also serves as a decent source of protein. The recipe for the peculiar shake was given to Mitchell by Stan Efferding, a well-known figure in the fitness and nutrition community.
- Shake: Âľ of a Cup of Greek Yogurt + 2 cups of Orange Juice (370 calories)
- Three eggs + 2 oz of Ground Beef (711 calories)
- Protein Shake
- Decaf Coffee
“The staple of my mornings is yogurt and orange juice… For those who haven’t tried it yet, stop judging until you try it… I drink this a couple of times a day. In a day I go through most of the tub, which is 900 grams (Greek Yogurt).”
Meal Two
Mitchell Hooper’s second meal is a bit more complex, as it is separated into multiple dishes. Similar to the first meal, Hooper first made himself his yogurt and orange juice shake. After that, he made a course consisting of salmon, rice, and broccoli, making sure to stock up on all of the necessary macronutrients. Finally, Hooper finished the meal with Pita & Chips, which had the most calories, as it leans more towards the fats and carbohydrates.
- Shake: Greek Yogurt & Orange Juice (370 calories)
- Salmon, Rice, and Broccoli (520 Calories)
- Pita & Chips (720 calories)
Meal Three — Post-Workout
After finishing a heavy and difficult squat and leg day, Mitchell Hooper moved on to his third meal of the day. Seeing that he eats straight after the gym, Mitchell brings a prepared meal in a container. He then eats the food in the car or on his way home.
- Chicken, Sweet Potato, and Broccoli (380 Calories)
“It is sort of a part-time job as a pro Strongman, eating your food. I don’t eat that much, but I certainly regularly consider when I am going to eat next and how I am going to prepare my food. My days are split up into four or five parts between my foods.”
Meal Four
Mitchell Hooper rounds up his day with a protein shake and dinner some time after that. However, he also eats some snacks later in the night, which increases his daily calorie intake. It is important to note that his dinner was full of vegetables and other nutrients that help him maintain a healthy lifestyle.
- Shake: 2 cups of Milk + 2 scoops of Whey Protein (480 calories)
- Chicken Breast, Salad, Avocado, Asparagus, Feta Cheese, Spinach, Peppers (728 calories)
Total Daily Calories: 4,579
Mitchell Hooper points out that he still should increase his calorie intake. However, he was traveling at the time of the video, which is what made it more difficult for him. He hopes to get his carbohydrates to 800 grams, which should help him reach the desired calorie mark.
- Protein: 400 grams
- Fats: 158 grams
- Carbohydrates: 330 grams
Mitchell Hooper’s Grocery Shopping
Mitchell Hooper was traveling while filming the video, which is why he decided to go grocery shopping. Incredibly, despite having a full countertop full of food, Mitchell points out that it is only enough to last him three days. This really puts into perspective just how much food he eats on a daily basis.

Mitchell Hooper has pointed out the 2025 Arnold Strongman Classic and 2025 World’s Strongest Man as the competitions that he is preparing for. However, having won the majority of last year’s shows, including the 2024 Strongest Man on Earth and the 2024 Rogue Invitational, Hooper will likely make appearances in many other competitions later this year in order to defend his titles. However, for now, he is focused on claiming his third ASM title and reclaiming the WSM crown after losing it last year.
