Records are meant to be broken which was certainly the case when Elite Czech powerlifter Petr Petras recently broke the all-time raw total powerlifting world record.
He combined for an astronomical total of 1160 kg/2557 lbs consisting of a 470kg/1036lbs squat, 290kg/639lbs bench press, and 400kg/881lbs deadlift.
This total would eclipse that of Daniel Bell’s all-time previous world record of 2518 lbs/1142 kg, by 39 lbs. Not to mention, he made it look easy (especially that bench press that went up like nothing).
Petras also performed big at the ProRaw “Big Dogs 3” powerlifting event in 2018 with an 1120kg/2469lb total of which he earned a nice $22,000 prize for his achievements.
Back in September 2016, Petras piled up a huge 1,115kg total which includes a 450kg (992 lbs) squat, a 285kg (628 lbs) bench press, and a 380kg (837 lbs) deadlift at the GPC World Championships held in Serbia.

It’s evident that Petras’ had more in the tank for all three lifts which is insane, and his bench press… absolutely ridiculous how effortless it was. We have a feeling he’ll be coming back to surpass this total sometime in the near future.
