That proved to be a correct move, as Bavoil ended up setting a new 214-kilogram (471.8-pound) raw squat IPF World Record.
Prescillia Bavoil was one of the first competitors to walk out onto the stage at the 2025 Sheffield Powerlifting Championships, and she made sure to set the standard. Opening up her squat session with a 205-kilogram (451.9-pound) lift, Bavoil proved that she came with some huge intentions.
Moving on to the second attempt, Prescillia Bavoil loaded a 214-kilogram (471.8-pound) squat. When it comes to the squat itself, Prescillia Bavoil managed to lock it out after a long grind. With two white lights from the judges, Prescillia officially set a new U63KG IPF World Record.
Prescillia Bavoil hoped to further advance the record on her final attempt, trying to squat 216.5 kilograms (477.3 pounds). Unfortunately, she was unable to complete the lift, showing that her second attempt was actually her maximum on the day.
*Prescillia Bavoil also held the previous U63KG IPF Raw Squat IPF World Record of 213-kg (469.5-lb). She set that record at the 2022 IPF Arnold Sports Festival.
