Rudy Kadlub turned 74 years old just a couple of months ago and celebrated his birthday by setting a new deadlift two-rep PR. However, the fact that Rudy was one year older did not stop him from setting major goals which required him to improve significantly. So, almost everything went according to plan, Rudy set Squat and Deadlift Masters USPA Drug Tested World Records at the 2023 USPA Nationals, which took place on July 10-14, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Rudy Kadlub first set a new Squat Masters Drug Tested World Record of 463 pounds (210 kilograms). He only utilized a lifting belt, knee wraps, and wrist wraps to complete the lift. Therefore, he advanced his own World Record, which he set at the 2021 IPL Drug Tested World Championship by squatting 451.9 pounds (205 kilograms).
Rudy Kadlub further improved another one of his records in the deadlift event with a pull of 513.6 pounds (233 kilograms). He completed this lift by utilizing a sumo stance and a mixed grip. The previous record was also under his name, having set it at the 2021 IPL Drug Tested World Championship where he locked out 512.5 pounds (232.5 kilograms).
