Russel Orhii continues to impress with his epic performances, updating his fans with progress videos via Instagram along the way, and we’ve acknowledged his awesome lifts several times already. But, he recently achieved a new, unofficial deadlift personal record of 335.5kg/740 lbs at 83kg, and this improvement came just in time with the USAPL Raw Nationals taking place next week (October 16-22) in Lombard Illinois.
Now, the current official record in the 83kg weight class is 326.5kg which was set at the IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships this year and Orhii has surpassed this number just in training. So, we’ll see if he can hit his training number or better at the upcoming competition.
Check out the monster lift below…
Russel Orhii was ecstatic about his new pr and this is what he wrote on Instagram…

“🚨 BIG DEADLIFT PR 🚨 “A lot of people have put their trust in me. So I won’t fail!” 740lbs/335.5kg for an ehh single! I would like to have held it at the top a bit longer but my grip kinda came undone at the end.
The strength is there so I’m not mad at it!
One more mf week!!! LETS GO!”
Orhii set a world record in June with an 833kg/1836.45lb total at the IPF World Classic Powerlifting Championships. And then in August, he achieved another pr in training when he pulled 650lbs for 5 reps which was another big accomplishment.
You can check that one out below…
“🚨 DEADLIFT PR 🚨 “Y’all shook up, I’m here on the cook up”
I ran through 650lbs/294.5kg for a set of 5 🚀
My body is evolving as I put it through more and more trauma 😂.“I can see his movements before he makes them.. every subtle shift in his weight is clear.. I. CAN. SEE!”
He also performed an unreal 306kg/675lb squat for a triple by the same token.
We hope to see nothing less than a stellar performance from Russel Orhii next week at the USAPL Raw Nationals after this beastly personal record deadlift. And, of course, we’ll update with the details following the competition.
