With the French Nationals canceled, 17-year-old powerlifter Samantha Eugenie has found a way to make her sessions as close to the real thing as possible. She recently did a mock meet to simulate competition and hit some impressive numbers in the process.
We’ve been following Eugenie for a while now, more specifically, her deadlift training. But for those unaware, she’s a world record holder in the squat, deadlift and total in her weight class (63kg).
Here’s what she wrote on Instagram regarding her recent training session…
“MOCK-MEET 496KG TOTAL 🥳
17yo -63kg
SQUAT : 182,5kg / 402.3 lbs
BENCH : 100kg / 220.4 lbs
DEADLIFT : 213,5kg / 470.6 lbs
Total : 496kg / 1093 lbs
The French Nationals being canceled I decided to do a mock-meet ! Thanks to my quarantine team“

Here’s the post from when she hit a new deadlift PR of 216kg/476.1lbs in March.
It’s a rough time for athletes due to the current health crisis which has been affecting many countries. But even though there probably won’t be competition for a while, at least many of the world’s best have been able to keep up with training. Therefore, we can continue to update and we’ll continue to do so.
