Samantha Rice has been one of the most dominant powerlifters in the last decade, holding a 100% win rate and setting multiple records in the process. So, she set another challenge for herself at the 2025 King & Queen of the Platform 5, which took place on December 6-7 in Port Charlotte, FL. Rice appeared as a 90-kilogram athlete, where she set four new Raw All-Time World Records. She also achieved a 297.5-kilogram (655.9-pound) raw deadlift, which marks the Heaviest Deadlift in History of Women’s Powerlifting.

Samantha Rice’s Full Performance Overview

Squat

Having competed as a raw athlete, Samantha Rice was allowed to put on a lifting belt and knee sleeves during the squat session of the competition. After successfully completing her opening two attempts, Samantha loaded 282.5 kilograms (622.8 pounds) for her final squat.

She descended very slowly, making sure to control and stabilize the bar until she reached the required depth. While some athletes avoid this approach to minimize energy expenditure, it clearly works well for Samantha, who displayed a very powerful second portion of the squat. She had no trouble locking it out and thus set a new 282.5-kilogram (622.8-pound) U90KG Raw Squat All-Time World Record.

*Samantha Rice held the previous U90KG Raw Squat All-Time World Record of 280-kg (617.3-lb), which she set at the 2024 RPS King/Queen of the Platform 4.

Bench Press

Samantha Rice put up an incredible performance on the bench press as well. Her heaviest attempt came out to 163 kilograms (359.4 pounds), with which she managed to set a new Competition PR. The lift was definitely a grind, since Samantha needed a couple of seconds to lock it out. She reached a sticking point just inches away from lockout but pushed through it and set a new Full-Power U90KG Raw All-Time World Record.

Deadlift

While her performance on the first two events was amazing, Samantha Rice’s greatest lift happened at the end of the competition. She loaded 297.5 kilograms (655.9 pounds), a number that had never been achieved by a powerlifter in the women’s division in a sanctioned competition. However, Samantha was ready to take on the challenge.

Samantha Rice used a sumo stance and a mixed grip in order to complete the lift. It took a while for her to complete the pull, but Samantha remained persistent and found success in the end. As a result, she set the Heaviest Deadlift in the History of Women’s Powerlifting, regardless of weight class.
