Samson Dauda is going straight from the Olympia to the 2023 Romania Muscle Fest Pro on November 11-12. Days after taking bronze on the sport’s biggest stage, Dauda will test his mettle against names like Nathan De Asha, Behrooz Tabanai, and Marcello De Angelis across the world.
In just two years, Samson Dauda has proven himself as one of the sport’s top Men’s Open competitors. His ability to transform his physique and improve is unparalleled and his competition history is evidence of that. Last year, “The Nigerian Lion” claimed a pair of fourth-place finishes at the 2022 Arnold Classic and Boston Pro. Months later, he debuted in sixth place under the bright lights at Olympia.
Despite having limited time to prepare for the 2023 Arnold Classic, Dauda brought one of his best and most balanced looks to date. He defeated Nick Walker in the finals, which qualified him for the recent Olympia contest.
As one of the biggest men in the Open, Dauda not only out-sized his adversaries, but he out-shaped them with aesthetics en route to a third-place finish. While you would think he’d need some time off after the best performance of his career, Dauda has decided to throw his name into another competition.

Samson Dauda to Face Nathan De Asha, Behrooz Tabanai, and Marcello De Angelis at 2023 Romania Muscle Fest Pro This Weekend
Samson Dauda takes a risk by participating in Romania. Should he lose, it could hurt his momentum ahead of the 2024 Arnold Classic or the next Olympia. Conversely, this is a massive opportunity for competitors such as Nathan De Asha and Behrooz Tabani, who were denied US visas weeks before the 2023 Mr. Olympia. In addition, Brazil’s Marcello De Angelis is on the roster aiming to make his Men’s Open debut.
