Sanchez Dillon is a British powerlifter who has made some tremendous improvements in his deadlifts, as seen at the 2024 IPF Arnold UK. The competition took place on March 15-17 in Birmingham, and saw multiple records fall. Sanchez Dillon made sure to claim one, managing to pull 391 kilograms (862 pounds) for the U105KG IPF Raw Deadlift World Record.
Sanchez Dillon’s opening deadlift was far from the World Record, as he decided to lift 355 kilograms (782.6 pounds) on his first attempt. So, despite making the lift look extremely easy, no one could have predicted what he would achieve just minutes later.
In turn, Sanchez Dillon made a humongous 36-kilogram (79.4-pound) jump for his second attempt, meaning that the weight came out to 391 kilograms (862 pounds). So, he put on a lifting belt and some chalk, determined to finally get his name on the World Records list. Surprisingly, Sanchez did not display almost any struggle, despite the fact that it was heavier than what any U105KG powerlifter had deadlifted before in history.
In addition, everyone was left shocked to hear that Sanchez Dillon announced a 411-kilogram (906.1-pound) deadlift for his third attempt. That would not only demolish the record in his division, but would also be the heaviest deadlift ever performed in the IPF, even above Jesus Olivares’ greatest pull. Sanchez came extremely close, pulling the barbell above his knees. However, his grip gave out before he could reach the lockout.
*Krzysztof Wierzbicki held the former U105KG IPF Raw Deadlift World Record of 390.5 kilograms (860.9 pounds), which he set at the 2018 EPF European Classic Powerlifting Championships.

Sanchez Dillon made his debut in powerlifting just three years ago, but has now already achieved what many don’t in decades of competing. Since then, he has managed to accumulate eight appearances and win five of them. However, Dillon’s improvement on the deadlifts over such a short time frame is what is most impressive about his career, as he is already one of the greatest pound-for-pound athletes in this event.
