Sara Sigmundsdottir and Pat Vellner Unofficially Win 2020 CrossFit Open

The leader boards for the 2020 CrossFit Open are filling up with some very familiar names

The 2020 CrossFit Open is officially in the books.

After weeks of open workouts, the CrossFit Games have wrapped it all up. Though not formally announced yet, it looks like both Sara Sigmundsdottir and Pat Vellner have won the 2020 CrossFit Open. Congratulations.

In addition, Sigmundsdottir has gone back to back with her Open wins. Sigmundsdottir won the open last year and 2020 marks her third open win overall. Wow.

Similarly, a 2020 win marks the first Open win for Vellner. In addition, Vellner previous bets finish was fifth overall in 2018.

Sigmundsdottir placed second for workouts 20.1 and 20.4. In addition, she came in at number three for 20.3.

Vellner was steady throughout the 2020 CrossFit Open. For workouts 20.1 through 20.4 he placed between 12th and 19th place on all four competitions. After that, Vellner shot up to second place in workout 20.5.

Scoring adjustments for workouts 20.4 and 20.5 are still to come from CrossFit HQ.

Emma McQuaid and Lefteris Theofanidis won the CrossFit Open Workout 20.1. In week two of the Open, Kristin Holte and Frederik Aegidius won Open Workout 20.2.

Winners of CrossFit Open Workouts 20.3, 20.4, and 20.5 have yet to be announced.

The final leader board for Open Workout 2020 will be established no later than December 16. CrossFit HQ should complete the video review process by mid-December.
