UFC 241 PPV (pay-per-view) event went down live from inside Honda Center, Anaheim, California tonight (Saturday, August 17, 2019). It was headlined by a 265-pound bout between the current champ Daniel Cormier and the former division king Stipe Miocic. The two already fought at UFC 226, where “DC” turned the lights out on his rival via stunning right hand and took his belt.

The referee in charge of this combat was Herb Dean.

Daniel Cormier kicked off great, and he was going forward towards Stipe Miocic. The best move of the round was made by Cormier, who went for a takedown attempt, lifted Stipe in the air and slammed him hard. Miocic survived the onslaught, but Cormier won round one.

The second round brought a lot of strikes on both sides. While Stipe Miocic was throwing strong strikes, Cormier was collecting points with short punches and low kicks. Cormier even landed a high kick and won the second frame.

Cormier landed an eye gauge on multiple occasions in round three but Herb Dean didn’t warn him. Stipe woke up, attempted a spinning back elbow off the clinch, and even took Cormier down. It was a round for Stipe.

But Miocic changed strategy in round 4. He landed more than 10 punches to the liver and hurt Cormier. Then he stopped him at the end of the round via brutal punches to the head. Herb Dean waved off the contest at 4:09 of round 4.  Stipe Miocic is the 265-pound champ again!
