Viktor Leskovets had one of the standout performances at the 2024 EPF European Equipped Powerlifting Championships, which took place on May 7–12 in Hagg, Luxembourg. He competed in the 105-kilogram weight class and put up a record-breaking lift. Namely, Viktor managed to set a new 325.5-kilogram (717.6-pound) Equipped IPF World Record.
Viktor Leskovets’ first bench press attempt of 307.5 kilograms (677.9 pounds) was already insanely heavy, considering that no other man in his division exceeded the 300-kilogram (661.4-pound) milestone. However, while his rivals couldn’t even get close, Viktor still had plenty left in the tank. So, he decided to increase the weight to 317.5 kilograms (700 pounds) for his second attempt, which once again moved smoothly.
Finally, Viktor Leskovets decided to push himself to the limit with a third bench press attempt of 325.5 kilograms (717.6 pounds). In order to lift the weight, Viktor used a single-ply bench press shirt and a pair of wrist wraps, both of which are allowed by the regulations of the equipped division. His lift was not easy by any means, as he struggled to lock out his right arm. However, he was ultimately successful and thus set a new IPF World Record.
*Dashzegve Tumenjargal held the previous U105KG IPF World Record of 325 kilograms (716.5 pounds), which he set at the 2021 IPF World Powerlifting Championships.

Viktor Leskovets had a very solid performance at the 2024 EPF European Equipped Championships, missing only two out of nine attempts and finishing in second place in his division. Moreover, the winner totaled just 2 kilograms (4.4 pounds) more than him. So, he was very close to becoming the European champion.
Viktor Leskovets has been an exceptional bench presser for a very long time, but his most recent appearance was the most special. The reason for this is his comeback to the U105KG weight class, where he broke the World Record. This came as a surprise since Viktor has been competing in the U120KG weight class for the past five years.
