Zahir Khudayarov, one of the most unique powerlifting figures in history, has recently returned to training and has already locked out a huge 460-kilogram (1,014.1-pound) two-rep squat with knee wraps in training. He shared the video to Instagram on January 23rd.
Zahir Khudayarov also shared three of his warm-up sets in the same post. Interestingly, all of those sets were heavier than 400 kilograms (881.8 pounds) as well. So, he is clearly already capable of performing high-volume workouts as well.
Apart from the knee wraps, Zahir Khudayarov also put on a lifting belt and wrist wraps to perform the 460-kilogram (1,014.1-pound) squat double. He gathered five spotters to help him in the case of an emergency. However, that ended up not being the case, as Zahir crushed both of his reps without much trouble.

Note: Zahir Khudayarov shared multiple videos in one post. In order, he lifted: 405-kg (892.9-lb), 425-kg (937-lb), 445-kg (981-lb), and finally 460-kg (1,014.1-lb).

It is important to point out that Bell weighed in at 180 kilograms (396.8 pounds) of bodyweight at the time. On the other hand, Zahir Khudayarov plans to outperform him while competing in the 125-kilogram weight class. So, it is quite impressive to even see Zahir chase the 1,200-kilogram (2,645.5-pound) Total, as no one from his weight class has even gotten close.
Zahir Khudayarov has had an incredible powerlifting career across the 12 years that he has competed. He has taken part in 24 sanctioned powerlifting competitions and won 17 of them. Moreover, Zahir still actively holds two U125KG All-Time World Records, despite not competing for nearly five years.
Zahir Khudayarov’s Competition PR
Squat: 480-kg (1,058.2-lb) — (2017 FPO WABDL World Cup & SM penkkipunnerrus/maastanosto)
Bench Press: 260-kg (573.2-lb) — (2015 FPO Paimio Power Weekend)
Deadlift: 390-kg (859.8-lb) — (2018 WPC Irish Pro Invitational III)
Total: 1,112.5-kg (2,452.6-lb) — (2015 FPO Paimio Power Weekend)
Unfortunately, Zahir Khudayarov has not revealed when he plans to compete. However, he did dissect how he plans to achieve the 1,200-kilogram (2,645.5-pound) Total. So, his ultimate goal is to squat 500 kilograms (1,102.3 pounds), bench press 300 kilograms (661.4 pounds), and deadlift 400 kilograms (881.8 pounds). His plan seems to be working well, so his statements are looking increasingly realistic.
