The clip shows the Irishman throughout various aspects of his life, and he says: “History: long after I’m gone, the story will be told.”
A release date for the film is yet to be announced.
Familiar faces set to appear in the movie alongside McGregor are Arnold Schwarzenegger, his partner Dee Devlin, UFC chief Dana White and Jose Aldo, his biggest win to date.
The film will document McGregor’s spectacular rise from living in his parents’ spare room in Dublin to becoming a two-weight UFC champion and millionaire.
The trailer comes as McGregor is training for his cross-sports fight against boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.
Some fans fear Mayweather, who retired with a spotless 49-0 record, will easily outbox McGregor in his first bout inside the ring.
But the American, 40, insists the scrap will NOT be a dull – as his opponent is a “warrior”.

Mayweather told Boxing Scene: “There has been a lot of trash talkers [during his career], and at the end of the day, he’s not bad.
“We will rate him No2 and I’m No1 – he’s got, heart.
“He’s a warrior, that’s what I do know about Conor McGregor.
“He’s going to fight to the end. He’s approaching this fight like I’m approaching this fight. It’s kill or be killed. Believe me, when I say this, It’s not going to be a dull fight.”
The five-division champion said he is not worried about McGregor using any MMA moves in their boxing rules fight, as he will just leave the referee to do his job.
He said: “Am I worried about an elbow or knee? I’m going to let the referee do his job, he will be extremely fair but firm. Nevada Commission is about treating everybody fair.”
