The first day of the 2020 CrossFit Games is in the books, and things are off to a roaring start. This is the complete results from Friday’s events.

From the start of Friday’s competition, it was clear that the changes to the 2020 CrossFit Games have not caused issues for the reigning Fittest Man and Woman on Earth. Both Mat Fraser and Tia-Clair Toomey started the day off in the lead, with each continuing to extend their dominance throughout the day. Below are the results from the fist day of the competition.

Event One: Friendly Fran

The first event of the 2020 CrossFit Games saw a unique take of the Fran workout, which was demonstrated by new CEO Eric Roza before the contest started. Mat Fraser was able to completely destroy the event, finishing in a time of 3:08. On the female side, Tia-Clair Toomey also got off to a killer start, clocking in at 3:40 and narrowly beating Kara Saunders.
