Britain has a new Strongman champ, and as you may have guessed, the Stoltmans continue their reign of dominance. If the older brother isn’t the winner, the younger one is.  The eldest, Luke, is currently the Europe’s strongest man and the Giants Live world tour winner. The younger brother, Tom Stoltman, is the current World’s strongest man and as of this Saturday- UK’s strongest man.

The placing was as follows:

  1. Tom Stoltman 46 points
  2. Adam Bishop 40 points
  3. Graham Hicks 36 points
  4. Luke Stoltman 35 points

  6. Mark Felix 22.5 points

Events:

  1. Dumbbell Medley
  2. Super Yoke
  3. Deadlift for Reps
  4. Loading Race
  5. Atlas Stones

Dumbbell Medley

The rules were as follows; athletes get five giant dumbbells ranging from 80kg all the way up to 120kg and they have to press it overhead in the fastest time possible. Event winner- Luke Stoltman, followed by Tom Stoltman.

  1. Luke Stoltman – four in 33.76 seconds

Super Yoke

Now, this is one of those events that” separates the men from the boys” and everyone showed up wearing their “big boys pants” as everyone finished the event within 20 seconds or less.  The yoke weighed 400 kilograms (881.8 pounds) and the goal was to walk with the heavy-ass yoke 20 meters in 60 seconds or less.

The event winner was Adam Bishop with a time of 9.54 followed by Mark Felix with 11.36 seconds.  20-meter course in the fastest time possible within the 60-second time limit.

  1. Adam Bishop –  9.54 seconds
  2. Mark Felix  11.36 seconds

  8. Shane Flowers – 19.39 seconds
  9. Andy Black – 19.5 seconds
  10. Desmond Gahan – 20.04 seconds

Deadlift for Reps

The deadlift, just the name itself says everything.  if Ronnie Coleman was a Strongman he would have probably said “everyone wanna be a Strongman, but don’t no do no heavy ass deadlifts” or something like that. The deadlift is a classic Strongman event and needs no explanation. The rules were; you get a barbell loaded with 350kg and you have 60 seconds to bang out as many reps as you can in that time frame. This event saw a 3-way tie for the first place with Tom Stoltman, Andy Bishop and Graham Hicks all doing eight reps.

Atlas Stone

It is almost an unwritten rule that a Strongman show finishes with a dramatic head-to-head battle in the Atlas stones and yesterday was no different. At this point, Graham Hicks and Adam Bishop needed in the stones for either of them to win Britain’s Strongest Man again(Bishop BSM ’20 winner, Hicks BSM ’19 winner) and they needed to hope that Tom Stoltman( Atlas Stone world record holder) somehow gets a brain fart and fails this event. Unfortunately, Tom came in shape and won the events with five stones in under 20 seconds.

  1. Tom Stoltman – five in 18.9 seconds
  2. Graham Hicks – five in 20.88 seconds

  8. Mark Felix – five in 25.27 seconds
