The 2024 CrossFit Games took place on August 8-11 at a brand-new venue in Fort Worth, Texas. It was the main contest of the season, as it gathered only the world’s finest athletes. So, you might wonder just how much money was up for grabs at the biggest fitness event of the year. Consequently, we have dissected the prize money earnings for the 2024 CrossFit Games.

The prize money has not changed since last year’s CrossFit Games, meaning that athletes got the same amount of money. So, the first-place finishers in both Individual divisions walked away with $315,000, which is still an incredible payout. However, the second-place finisher then received $125,000, while the bronze medalist got $85,000.

The 2024 CrossFit Games were definitely action-packed, but they will be remembered for a tragic incident that took place on day one of the competition. Namely, Lazar Đukić drowned during an 800-meter swim in a lake, after which some competitors decided to withdraw. On the other hand, many others believed that the best way to honor him was by continuing.

The remainder of the competition saw Tia-Clair Toomey dominate the women’s division of the 2024 CrossFit Games. She won six of the events and managed to beat her closest rival by a margin of 951 points. In turn, Tia-Clair became the first athlete to manage to reclaim her title after losing it the previous year.

On the other hand, the men’s division saw James Sprague become the Fittest Man on Earth following an unbelievable comeback. Namely, he capitalized on Brent Fikowski’s mistake in the final event to clinch the victory. Moreover, Fikowski had to settle for third place overall, taking home $230,000 less than what he would have gotten if he managed to hold on to his lead.
