Event One — Arm-Over-Arm Pull
For the first event of the 2024 UK’s Strongest Woman competition, the women had to perform an arm-over-arm rope pull. They grabbed a hold of one end of the rope, while a humongous 120-kilogram anchor was attached to it on the opposite side. The goal was to pull the anchor over the finish line in the shortest time possible.

The battle for first place was so close that the winner had to be decided by looking at the fractions of a second on the stopwatch. In the end, Rebecca Roberts walked away with the max points, finishing the event in 44.53 seconds.
Sarah Reynolds had to settle for second place, despite being just 0.16 seconds slower than Rebecca. Then, six seconds later, Nadine Guy crossed the finish line to take third place.
- Rebecca Roberts — 44.43 seconds
- Sarah Reynolds — 44.59 seconds
- Nadine Guy — 50.24 seconds
- Sam Taylor — 58.72 seconds
- Steffi Murray — 68.26 seconds
- Gemma Ferguson — 73.38 seconds
- Holly Ford — 13.6 meters
- Shannon Smith — 12.5 meters
Event Two — Max Deadlift
The second event of the 2024 UK’s Strongest Woman was the Max Deadlift. In this event, the women lifted progressively heavier barbells through multiple rounds until they reached their one-rep-max.
Rebecca Roberts easily claimed the event win, locking out a 250-kilogram (551-pound) deadlift and seemingly leaving more in the tank. She never seemed challenged at any point of the event and claimed her second consecutive victory.
Sam Taylor also had a very notable performance, being the only woman that was close to Rebecca Roberts. Her heaviest lift came out to 240 kilograms (529 pounds), which was 20 kilograms (44 pounds) heavier than that of the third place finisher, Holly Ford.
- Rebecca Roberts — 250 kilograms
- Sam Taylor — 240 kilograms
- Holly Ford — 220 kilograms
- Steffi Murray — 210 kilograms
- Gemma Ferguson — 210 kilograms
- Sarah Reynolds — 200 kilograms
- Nadine Guy — 200 kilograms
- Shannon Smith — 180 kilograms
Event Three — Log Lift
For event three, the women had to display their upper body strength. They did so by attempting to lock out as many reps as possible with a 70-kilogram (154.3-pound) Log. The highest number of reps won.
Unsurprisingly, Rebecca Roberts continued her winning streak, taking the max points on the Log Lift as well. She was the only woman to lock out double digits worth of reps, deciding to stop at 10.
While Rebecca was far ahead, the rest of the women continued their tight battle. In turn, Sam Taylor and Gemma Ferguson locked out eight repetitions each, thus having to share the second-place.
- Rebecca Roberts — 10 reps
- Sam Taylor — 8 reps
- Gemma Ferguson — 8 reps
- Steffi Murray — 7 reps
- Shannon Smith — 7 reps
- Holly Ford — 6 reps
- Nadine Guy — 5 reps
- Sarah Reynolds — 2 reps
Event Four — Sandbag Toss
In the second-to-last event of the 2024 UK’s Strongest Woman competition, the athletes had to toss a 12-kilogram (26.5-pound) Sandbag. Moreover, they had to continue tossing the same sandbag over the beam for as many repetitions as possible.
Rebecca Roberts was not willing to drop any points, despite already having a tremendous lead by this point. So, she gave it her all and once again took the event win with 10 repetitions.
Sam Taylor was involved in another tie for second-place, but this time alongside Sarah Reynolds. Both women completed nine reps, which resulted in a tie.
An interesting situation happened with Nadine Guy’s performance, as her final bag toss ended up getting stuck on the beam. This is a very unique sighting, which left all attendees amused.
- Rebecca Roberts — 10 reps
- Sam Taylor — 9 reps
- Sarah Reynolds — 9 reps
- Nadine Guy — 8 reps
- Holly Ford — 8 reps
- Gemma Ferguson — 5 reps
- Steffi Murray — 4 reps
- Shannon Smith — 1 rep
Event Five — Duck Walk
The fifth event of the 2024 UK’s Strongest Woman competition was the Duck Walk, which made athletes carry a 100-kilogram (220.5-pound) implement across the course and back. The shape of the implement made it so that regular carrying would be impossible, forcing the athletes to use the duck walk method.
Only two women finished, but one of them was far quicker than the other. That was, of course, none other than Rebecca Roberts. She finished the event in 56.08 and wrapped up her perfect performance overall.
Emma Ferguson was the other woman that managed to reach the finish line, doing so in a time of 74.63 seconds. The third place went to Shannon Smith, who covered the most distance out of all the athletes that failed to finish the event.
- Rebecca Roberts — 56.08 seconds
- Gemma Ferguson — 74.63 seconds
- Shannon Smith — 46.12 meters
- Nadine Guy — 44.88 meters
- Sarah Reynolds — 39.97 meters
- Steffi Murray — 36.42 meters
- Sam Taylor — 35.54 meters
- Holly Ford — 32.96 meters
Rebecca Roberts’ win at the 2024 UK’s Strongest Woman comes just a week after she was also crowned the 2024 OSG European Champion. However, her season is far from finished, as she also has plans to compete at other events, which likely include the World’s Strongest Woman competition. She stood on top of the podium last year and could be looking to repeat the feat again.
