The 2025 Arnold Strongwoman Classic took place from February 28 – March 1 in Columbus, Ohio. It featured 12 of the strongest women in the world, pitting them against each other across six events. After some incredible performances and frequent changes on the leaderboards, Inez Carrasquillo was crowned the champion.
The first day of the 2025 Arnold Strongman Classic was as unpredictable as it gets. With multiple women standing out across three events, the day ended with multiple women battling for first place, separated by just a few points. However, going into day two, Andrea Thompson had the most points. It is also important to note that Lucy Underdown set a new Elephant Bar Deadlift World Record on day one of the competition.
The second day was all about Inez Carrasquillo, as she won the Big Jerk event and then followed it up with a second-place finish on the Timber Trial. Consequently, she took over first place overall and developed a 4.5-point lead. Carrasquillo then wrapped up the competition with a third-place finish in the final event, not allowing anyone to take her title.

Day Two (March 1st) Event Recap
Event Four — Big Jerk
Similar to day one, the second day of the 2025 Arnold Strongwoman Classic started with a lift for max weight. However, in this instance, the goal was to determine a one-rep-max on the overhead press. The setup of the event isolated the press, as the bar was set on a pair of lifting platforms, adjusted to the height of the athletes. In turn, they only had to press the bar over their heads, not wasting any energy on picking it up.

Inez Carrasquillo put up the most dominant performance of the entire competition in the Big Jerk, taking the win with ease and then adding even more weight to the bar. She won the event with a lift of 150 kilograms (330.7 pounds) but still decided to load 160 kilograms (352.7 pounds) on the bar and put on a show for the fans. All of her attempts looked very smooth, meaning that she was clearly capable of lifting even more.
Olga Liashchuk was the second strongest woman in the Big Jerk event, with her heaviest lift coming out to 142 kilograms (313.1 pounds). Olga did have an opportunity to perform another attempt, but after seeing the ease with which Inez was locking out the lifts, she decided not to push for first place.
Four women ended up in a tie for third place, as each of them locked out 135 kilograms (297.6 pounds). Those women were Andrea Thompson, Angelica Jardine, Melissa Peacock, and Samantha Belliveau. The overall leader from day one, Andrea, had a notable attempt at 142 kilograms (313.1 pounds), but was unable to lock it out.

Event Five — Timber Trial
The second event of the 2025 Arnold Strongwoman Classic was quite an unusual one, as it consisted of two parts. Firstly, the athletes had to pick up, carry, and load wooden logs onto a sled. They then needed to perform a sled drag, walking backwards while holding the handles. The total weight of the sled came out to around 900 pounds, but the resistance in this type of event also depends on the traction between the sled and the floor.
Rebecca Roberts cruised to victory in the second-to-last event of the competition, fully utilizing her height and leverages to move the sled. She didn’t lose any momentum on either of the transitions between the log carry or the sled drag. In turn, Rebecca ended up being the only one to finish in under 30 seconds.
Inez Carrasquillo made easy work of the log carry but seemingly lost a few seconds when she moved on to the sled drag. Specifically, it took her a few seconds to get the sled moving, but once it started, Inez continued picking up the pace. So, she ended in second place with a time of 23.22 seconds. Moreover, she extended her lead in the overall leaderboards, increasing it to a 4.5-point advantage over her closest rival.
Lucy Underdown wrapped up the top three in the event, putting in a great performance as well. Lucy realized that holding the Log a bit higher up would allow her to move her legs freely, which allowed her to load the sled in a very quick time. She then took on the sled drag, pulling it at a steady and constant pace. In the end, her time came out to 34.65 seconds.
- Rebecca Roberts — 0:29.96
- Inez Carrasquillo — 0:32.22

- Melissa Peacock — 0:58.33
- Nadia Stowers — 11′ 8”
Event Six — Atlas Stone to Shoulder
The final event of the 2025 Arnold Strongwoman Classic was the Atlas Stone to Shoulder. The athletes got to choose if they wanted to lift the lighter 253-pound (115-kilogram) or the heavier 297-pound (135-kilogram) stone for as many reps as possible. One rep with the lighter stone was worth 1 point, while a rep with the heavier stone came out to 10 points.

Olga displayed incredible technique, while Angelica showcased her resilience, pushing hard to secure a rep. In the end, both of them ended up in podium spots overall.
Inez Carrasquillo placed third in the event by achieving one rep on the heavier stone, with which she secured her overall victory. However, even once it was official, Inez continued pushing for another rep, purely to put on a show for all fans watching. Unfortunately, she was unable to achieve the second rep, but it still revealed how much fighting spirit she possesses.

Day One (February 28th) Event Recap
Event One — Elephant Bar Deadlift
The 2025 Arnold Strongwoman Classic opened up with the Elephant Bar Deadlift, which turned out to be one of the most exciting events ever seen in the division. All athletes had three attempts to establish a one-rep-max. It is important to note that the elephant bar is longer than that standard one, which is why it bends more and is often very hard to control.
It is no surprise that Lucy Underdown won the event, seeing that she holds multiple deadlift World Records. However, her win did not come as easily as many expected. Namely, Lucy was forced to deadlift 676 pounds (306.6 kilograms) in order to take the event win and the record. So, she made her way to the competition floor but seemingly started to panic after one of her lifting straps broke loose. With limited time to make the attempt, Lucy had to move quickly. In turn, she ended up struggling with 676 pounds (306.6 kilograms), but still ended up locking it out.
Andrea Thompson was the one who put pressure on Lucy, having set a new World Record of 671 pounds (304.4 kilograms) just minutes earlier. While she almost claimed the event win, Lucy managed to come out on top, pushing Andrea down to an impressive second place. Andrea also attempted a 686-pound (311.2-kilogram) deadlift but was unsuccessful.
Jennifer Lyle put up the biggest surprise of the event, as she placed third despite making her debut at the 2025 Arnold Strongwoman classic. Lyle’s heaviest lift came out to 651 pounds (295.3 kilograms), and it looked like she had even more in the tank.
- Lucy Underdown — 676-lb (306.6-kg)
- Andrea Thompson — 671-lb (304.4-kg)
- Jennifer Lyle — 651-lb (295.3-kg)
- Olga Liashchuk — 626-lb (284-kg)
- Rebecca Roberts — 611-lb (277.2-kg)
- Inez Carrasquillo — 611-lb (277.2-kg)
- Angelica Jardine — 601-lb (272.7-kg)
- Melissa Peacock — 561-lb (254.5-kg)
- Erin Murray — 561-lb (254.5-kg)
- Gabi Dixson — 546-lb (247.7-kg)
- Samantha Belliveau — 521-lb (236.3-kg)
- Nadia Stowers — 441-lb (200-kg)
Event Two — Overhead Gauntlet
The second event was all about the overhead pressing power, as the women faced multiple implements of varying shape and weight. They first had to lift and press a 70-kg (154.3-lb) Dumbbell and a 79-kg (174.2-lb) Stone, which were valued at 1 point each. Once that was done, they moved on to the log, where they had the option of lifting the lighter (100-kg / 220.5-lb) or the heavier (122-kg / 269-lb) Log for as many reps as possible. The lighter log was worth 1 point per rep, while each rep on the heavier Log earned them 10 points.
Three women ended up lifting the first two implements and following it up with two reps on the heavier Log. So, a tiebreaker was put in place, measuring the time needed to complete the effort. While they all did the same number of reps, the defending champion, Angelica Jardine, was the fastest among them, which earned her the event victory.
Andrea Thompson was the second fastest, while Olga Liashchuk had to settle for third place. It is important to note that the majority of women did not even get to the Log, as the dumbbell and the stone were too difficult for them to lift. In turn, the overall leaderboards witnessed a massive shake-up.
- Angelica Jardine — 22 points
- Andrea Thompson — 22 points
- Olga Liashchuk — 22 points
- Inez Carrasquillo — 12 points
- Nadia Stowers — 3 points
- Samantha Belliveau — 1 point
- Melissa Peacock — 1 point
- Erin Murray — 1 point
- Rebecca Roberts — 1 point
- Lucy Underdown — No Lift
- Jennifer Lyle — No Lift
- Gabi Dixson — No Lift
Event Three — Timber Carry
The Timber Carry wrapped up day one of the 2025 Arnold Strongwoman Classic. It is a familiar event as it has been a part of the competition for years now. The goal of the event was to carry the 265-kilogram (584.2-pound) wooden frame up a sloped platform that stretched for a distance of 11 meters. So, the athletes moved as quickly as possible while relying on their grip strength not to drop the frame.
Rebecca Roberts had to perform her attempt twice, as her first one was invalidated because of some rules. However, contrary to the expectations, this worked in her favor, since she was quicker the second time around. In turn, she ended up taking the event win with a time of 7.56 seconds.
Inez Carrasquillo had a much better experience on the frame carry this year compared to 2024, having walked away without an injury this time and even a second-place finish. Her time of 8.34 seconds was incredibly impressive, especially considering how heavy the implement was.
Olga Liashchuk and Lucy Underdown were separated by an incredibly small margin, with the luck going in favor of the Ukrainian Strongwoman. Olga crossed the line in 9.47 seconds, while Britain’s Strongest Woman was slower by 0.01 seconds. This proved to be one of the tightest battles of the entire competition.
- Rebecca Roberts — 0:07.56 seconds
- Inez Carrasquillo — 0:08.34 seconds
- Olga Liashchuk — 0:09.47 seconds
- Lucy Underdown — 0:09.48 seconds
- Andrea Thompson — 0:09.99 seconds
- Jennifer Lyle — 0:11.07 seconds
- Gabi Dixson — 0:11.55 seconds
- Nadia Stowers — 0:19.63 seconds
- Angelica Jardine — 0:22.70 seconds
- Erin Murray — 18′ 1″
- Samantha Belliveau — 14′ 8″
- Melissa Peacock — 13′ 5″
