Lineup Overview

Brian Shaw first pointed out that he had a team of five people go through any potential Strongman that might be a good fit for the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth. However, he still had the final say, deciding which 16 athletes got the invite to the elite competition.

The most notable athlete in the field is Mitchell Hooper, since he is coming into the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth as the defending champion. Hooper has been maintaining an incredible streak of podium finishes in the past few years, the majority of which see him take first place. So, he will try to keep his streak going with a title defense.

One name that will excite many at the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth is Rayno Nel. The newly crowned 2025 World’s Strongest Man will be hoping to continue writing out history with a great performance in another high-level show. Rayno proved to be one of the only men capable of beating both Hooper and Stoltman, which he will attempt to do at the 2025 SMOE as well.

Tom Stoltman also had an incredible display at the 2025 World’s Strongest Man. So, he is another person who is expected to be in contention for the title at the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth competition.

There are a number of other athletes who might battle for the top spot, including Lucas Hatton and Evan Singleton. However, Trey Mitchell might be the biggest threat, considering that the format of the events definitely seems to suit his incredible static power.

One big change from last year’s Strongest Man On Earth is the absence of Hafthor Bjornsson. The Icelandic Strongman took some time to think about the invite that he received but ultimately decided to pass up on the opportunity for this year.
