The deadlift was followed by an overhead pressing event at the 2026 OSG European Championships, as the athletes took on the Dumbbell Ladder. The men lifted dumbbells weighing 90 kilograms (198.4 pounds) up to 120 kilograms (264.6 pounds), while the women’s dumbbell weights ranged from 40 kilograms (88.2 pounds) to 70 kilograms (154.3 pounds).
Only two men completed the entire event, as the majority of the roster was unable to conquer the final implement. William Relf ended up taking the win, as his time of 38.45 seconds was 1.32 seconds quicker than Tomas Šliupas’ result. Dawid Pakulski rounded out the top three by being the fastest out of the athletes who lifted three implements.
The Dumbbell Ladder also proved to be very challenging for the women as well, as seen by the fact that no woman was able to lift the third and fourth implements. Claire Myler secured her spot at the top of the leaderboard by lifting two implements in 13.61 seconds. She was closely followed by Jade Crouch, who lifted the second implement in 16.08 seconds, while the third-place finisher, Cassandra Annergren, achieved the same feat but needed an additional three seconds to do it.
