A different side of 7x Mr. Olympia Phil ‘The Gift’ Heath

We all know Phil Heath’s fabled past. The man who wanted to become a basketball legend only to realize that he would never make it on a pro level – and then changing his passion for athletics into something different… something that would lead him to greatness.

Phil Heath is the 7 times Mr. Olympia and the current king of all bodybuilding. While he may have many haters and fans alike, there’s no denying that Phil Heath is currently the best bodybuilder in the world.

There are many great competitors, namely Dexter Jackson, William Bonac, Big Ramy and The Beast Rolley Winklaar. These contenders have all acquitted themselves well as they battle to dethrone the current king, but have still fallen short.

So far Phil Heath has managed to destroy the competition for the most part. But last year’s showing indicates that the other contenders in the top five of the division are beginning to close the gap and catch up to Phil Heath. We’ve also seen signs of the current Mr. Olympia being a bit off of his game.

But it’s no coincidence why Phil Heath has been able to become a 7-time Olympia champion. He pushed himself physically during training, but that’s not what has brought him to the next level. The true secret behind his ability to transform himself into the greatest current bodybuilder is through his mindset.

Check out the above video as Heath talks about different topics most notably his mindset and how he used his biggest fear as motivation to push himself to work hard.
