Valdir Segato, 48 years old is a construction worker from Sao Paulo in Brazil wants to look like his hero Arnold Schwarzenegger – or more like the Incredible Hulk. So he starts injecting the potentially lethal oil into his muscles to help him bulk up and achieve his ambition of becoming popular for his physique.

Segato as a young man weighed only 55 kilograms, was a drug addict and too thin, so people called him ‘skinny dog’ and ‘small skull.’ “I wanted to change my life,” Valdir said.

Valdir Segato, one day decided to drop the drugs, he started going to a local gym, but he soon ‘discovered’ that the results he wanted, could not be achieved by just exercise alone. So someone introduced him to the Synthol telling him he could get more extreme effects than from lifting weights alone. So he began to inject it regularly into his biceps, chest, and shoulders.

Afer using the painful Synthol injections, he added 25kg ‘muscles’ but the unnatural way of bulking up doesn’t make his muscles stronger, and could even prove deadly. His arms have almost doubled in size from 12 inches to 23 inches, and he wants to get even bigger.

“This is a dream come true that I searched for and conquered,” he said. “When you look at your body and see that it is growing and you are going to want more.”

“The doctors tell me to stop it, the advice they give me is to stop using,” he said. “But it’s my decision to use it because I want to, because I like to.”

Inflated muscles have also made it difficult for him to find love, as potential partners are too afraid to approach him, he says.

“At the moment, I am alone, I don’t have anyone. I do get attention, but people seem to be scared to approach me, I think that’s the problem.”

His friends & fellow construction worker Fernando Carvalho are also very concerned: “I think the oil thing is stupidity.”
“It’s the risk he takes – he wants to look good and wants to be famous.”

Valdir is now trying to pump up his biceps by a further 10cm and believes his muscles will lead to stardom.

He said: “My dream is that with my musculature I try can achieve something – make a career from my body. I don’t have any regrets. I look at myself in the mirror and I like the way I look.”
