A car accident left Nick Scott unable to walk, but he becomes a star in wheelchair bodybuilding and a motivation icon to lifters everywhere!
It’s easy to get jaded about stories of champion bodybuilders & athletes who have overcome different adversity. But sometimes we find a man or woman whose struggle is so compelling, the odds so unbeatable, that it forces us to take notice and get inspired.
The story of Nick is one such account, his life changed on Aug. 17, 1998, when a tire blew out on his Buick Skylark. The car rolled over 5-1/2 times, ejected him, and then hit him in the back as a final indignity. Scott was diagnosed as a paraplegic (Paraplegia is an impairment in motor or sensory function of the lower extremities) Doctors told him he would never walk again.
In the above video, he tells his story.
