Throwback: Anyone who’s ever taken the contest stage can tell you that, most of the time, bodybuilding is not a glamorous sport. Athletes spend countless hours working out in the gym, preparing meals, working on poses and doing research – all for their 30 seconds on stage.
Nowadays when people hear the word bodybuilding, their minds instantly come up with one word ‘Steroids.’ It’s perhaps one of the reasons why the masses haven’t so warmly received bodybuilding as a sport. Anabolic substances are no doubt a part of the endeavor of becoming an extra large bodybuilder yet it seems that the drug aspect of transforming the body has never been as prevalent as it is today.
