The prejudging and finals for the 2023 Arnold Classic Men’s Wheelchair division took place on Saturday, March 4 in Columbus, Ohio. After a heated contest, Harold Kelley claimed the AC Men’s Wheelchair Pro championship with an impressive package.
Heading into this year’s Arnold Classic, fans expected Harold ‘King Kong’ Kelley to deliver given his record of success. His dominance in the Wheelchair division has been hard to ignore oveer the last few years. During his illustrious career, he’s managed to earn five Men’s Wheelchair Olympia titles and looked to add a sixth AC title this weekend.
The defending AC champion, Gabriele Andriulli shocked the world after dethroning Kelley at the 2022 AC. The victory marked Andriulli’s first AC title. It should be noted that Antoni Khabdroui and Anand Arnold were forced to withdraw from this competition. Antoni had travel issues while Arnold suffered from an undisclosed injury.
During prejudging and finals, it appeared to be a fight for first between contenders Bradley Betts, Tory Jones, and Harold ‘King Kong’ Kelley. After a few comparisons, Kelley’s upper body detail was on full display. He clinched the victory and managed to win his sixth Arnold Classic Pro Wheelchair title.
