The 2023 Arnold Classic finals saw a stacked field of competitors battle for gold. In the end, this year’s AC Wellness International title was awarded to Kassandra Gillis. Before the event, fans were hopeful about a number of competitors’ chances in Ohio.
The Wellness division was introduced to the Arnold Classic last year. At the 2022 Arnold Sports Weekend, Isabelle Nunes secured first place with a dominant package. At last December’s Olympia contest, Nunes earned runner-up to the newly crowned Wellness Olympia champion, Francielle Mattos. Unfortunately, Isabelle had to withdraw from this weekend’s show due to a problematic knee injury.
With that in mind, fans’ attention shifted to other top names in the Wellness category, like Kassandra Gillis, Yarishna Ayala, and Sunny Andrews, who all placed in the top six at the 2022 Arnold Classic. They planned on bringing their best possible physiques to the stage in hopes of securing one of the sport’s highest honors.
During the finals, Angela Borges and Kassandra Gillis were fighting for gold. While some appreciated the balance of Borges’ physique, Kassandra Gillis walked away victorious.
Wellness International Results:
