Kevin Faires has already made a name for himself in the strongman world, and his recent accomplishments at the 2023 Rogue Record Breakers have only strengthened this reputation. Aside from competing in the 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic, one of the biggest and most prestigious Strongman competitions in the world, he also went on to set a new Replica Dinnie Stone Walk World Record just one day later.
Kevin Faires has repeatedly proven that he is up for any challenge, and his latest world record-breaking performance is nothing short of extraordinary. Despite having competed in the Arnold Strongman Classic just one day earlier, Kevin was still able to summon the strength and focus needed to lift and carry the massive stones a distance of 31 feet and 7 inches.
To put this feat into perspective, the previous world record for the Replica Dinnie Stone Walk was 25 feet and 8 inches, which Kevin himself set last year. This means that he not only broke his own record but shattered it by an impressive four feet. It’s important to note that several other Strongmen attempted the lift, but none were able to come close to Kevin’s distance.
The Dinnie Stones are two massive boulders that were originally used by Donald Dinnie, a Scottish strongman, in the 19th century. The stones are said to weigh a combined total of 733 pounds and are considered one of the ultimate tests of grip strength and overall physical endurance.

This feat of strength earned Kevin Faires a prize of $5,000. As a result of finishing ninth at the 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic, Kevin was awarded an additional $5,000. This made for a memorable weekend for Kevin and his family.
However, Kevin Faires was not the only athlete to set a world record, as this year turned out successful for many athletes. His fellow Strongman competitor, Trey Mitchell set new World Records in the Thor’s Hammer Hold and Stone Over Bar for reps.
On the other hand, the Strongwoman division also saw a few records fall. Most notably, Gabi Dixson set new records in the Thor‘s Hammer Hold and Replica Dinnie Stones Hold events. In addition, during the 2023 Arnold Strongwoman Classic, both Tamara Walcott and Victoria Long managed to deadlift 656 pounds for a new Elephant Bar Deadlift World Record.

Accounting for his 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic appearance, Kevin Faires has taken part in 21 International contests so far, winning two of them. He has also competed at the WSM four times, with his greatest finish being seventh in 2020. However, what makes him such an incredible Strongman is his individual event performances, as he often sets new World Records, which was the case at the Rogue Record Breakers.
