The 2023 Musclecontest Pacific USA Pro took place this weekend August 12. This show was located in San Diego, California and served as a Men’s Physique qualifier for the upcoming Mr. Olympia competition.
It’s a big weekend for the Men’s Physique division, with multiple Olympia qualifications on the line around the world. This year’s 2023 Mr. Olympia show goes down from Nov. 2-5 in Orlando, Florida inside the Orange County Convention Center.
This year it’s been more difficult to qualify because there are fewer months to compete and the point system was removed. It was an exciting competition and closely contested. In the end, Jonas Jamena earned gold in the Men’s Physique category. He will have the opportunity to face reigning Men’s Physique Olympia Erin Banks later this year.
