Wesley Vissers is inching closer to Classic Physique Olympia gold, judging by his latest ripped physique update. The top-tier Pro took to Instagram on July 25, 2024, to share a jaw-dropping progress photo with just 12 weeks until squaring off against the best of his division.
‘The Dutch Oak’ has proven himself atop a busy category, which started with an eye-opening and shocking upset victory over Brazilian juggernaut Ramon Queiroz at the 2024 Arnold Classic Ohio contest. Sporting momentum, Vissers wasted no time in letting his presence be known in the class.
He pushed all of his chips in for the 2024 Arnold Classic UK competition, which he won handily as well, courtesy of his rippling chest striations, capped shoulders, and bulletproof front poses. Now, with his sights set on the Classic Physique kingpin Chris Bumstead, Vissers gave a sneak peek into the look he plans to bring to the highly anticipated 2024 Mr. Olympia, which is set to celebrate its 60th anniversary with an entertainment-filled event October 10-13.

If we had a crystal ball and could look into the future, some might suggest that Vissers’ stature could cause problems for Bumstead, who is accustomed to battling IFBB Pros who don’t sport his height. Last year, en route to gold, Cbum bested Queiroz, Urs Kalecinski, Breon Ansley, and a crop of other thirsty contenders who set out to earn gold.

“Goood Morning!”
“79 days out” Vissers wrote.
While his crosshairs are undoubtedly laser-focused on Cbum, Vissers will have more than the Canadian champ to deal with on stage. He also has to get through Queiroz again as well as thriving Classic standouts Urs Kalecinski from Germany and Breon Ansley, a former two-time Classic Physique Olympia in his own right. Fans are in store for a showdown of epic proportions when these superpowers meet at the biggest event of the year.
Wesley Vissers’ latest update has spurred questions from fans about how he’ll fare on the blockbuster stage in the months that lie ahead. Given his symmetry, golden era look, and determination to topple the throne, Vissers could find himself as the number one Classic talent in the world when the dust settles later this year.
