Tyler Manion and the IFBB Pro League are raising the stakes for Men’s Open competitors. On February 20, 2025, Manion revealed that the Men’s Open prize pool was increased by $230,000 across 23 shows, with the minimum first-place payout raised to $15,000.

The IFBB Pro League continues to grow rapidly, and new sponsorships have emerged. In February 2024, a similar announcement was made, with Manion revealing that Men’s Open competitors would enjoy a $210,000 boost to overall earnings throughout the season.

It’s not just regional shows that have seen big changes—fans have also witnessed prestigious contests like the Arnold Classic and Mr. Olympia raise their prize money. Arnold Schwarzenegger shared that the 2025 Arnold Classic will award $500,000 to its Men’s Open winner.

IFBB Pro League Announces Men’s Open Prize Money Boost of $230,000, Minimum Winner Purse Raised to $15K

In a recent YouTube video, IFBB Vice President Tyler Manion revealed that Supa Power has become a new corporate sponsor. As a result, $230,000 was added to the prize money for Open shows throughout the 2025 bodybuilding season. This boost will affect 23 contests on the horizon.

“I’m here with some extremely exciting news. I want everybody to welcome Supa Power as our new IFBB Pro Men’s Open Bodybuilding corporate sponsor for 2025.

Because of their sponsorship, an extra $230,000 will be added to the prize money for Men’s Open Bodybuilding shows this year. This will affect 23 of our Men’s Open Bodybuilding shows.”

Moving forward, the minimum prize money for first place at an Open show in 2025 will be a minimum of $15,000 and second place will receive a minimum of $9,000.

“And again, it will make sure the minimum prize money is $15,000 prize money for first place and $9,000 for second place,” he shared.

Some in the sport, such as bodybuilding veteran Lee Priest, believe Schwarzenegger might say ‘fu** it,’ and elevate the Open winner prize money at the Arnold Classic to $1 million. Although he has yet to make it clear if he’ll follow through with that, there is speculation that it could happen sooner or later.

The sport of bodybuilding continues to prosper with new and exciting opportunities for its competitors. A rising tide lifts all ships, and in 2025, athletes will benefit from increased prize money.
