Zuzanna Mazur turned 19 years old earlier this season, which made her eligible to compete at the 2025 EPF European Junior Classic Powerlifting Championships on December 6th in Druskininkai, Lithuania. Her performance was nothing short of spectacular, as she won the 76-kilogram weight class and also managed to set new raw squat and deadlift IPF Junior World Records.

Zuzanna Mazur’s Full Performance Breakdown

Zuzanna Mazur had high hopes for the competition and successfully executed her plan, missing just two out of nine attempts and achieving an impressive result. She was levels above her rivals, beating the next best athlete by a margin of 66.5 kilograms (146.6 pounds). Therefore, Zuzanna was officially crowned the 2025 EPF European Junior Champion.

Squat

Zuzanna Mazur’s heaviest squat on the day came out to 210.5 kilograms (464 pounds). It was exactly enough to chip the IPF Junior World Record and it also marked a 5.5-kilogram (12.1-pound) Competition PR for the young athlete. So, not only did she achieve the heaviest squat ever seen in her division, but Zuzanna also proved just how quickly she is improving. Zuzanna crushed the lift, showing that there is plenty more left in the tank as well.

Bench Press

Zuzanna Mazur’s bench press session did not start off how she wanted, as her first lift was invalidated because of her technique. That did not bother her too much, as she came back out and smoked her second attempt. She then bench pressed 125 kilograms (275.6 pounds) on her final lift, exceeding her Competition PR by 5 kilograms (11 pounds).

  • Unsuccessful — 115 kilograms (253.5 pounds)
  • 115 kilograms (253.5 pounds)
  • 125 kilograms (275.6 pounds) — Competition PR

Deadlift

Zuzanna Mazur left the best for last, since the deadlift is her greatest strength. So, on her second attempt, Zuzanna locked out 251 kilograms (553.4 pounds) and set a new U76KG IPF Junior World Record. She also tried to deadlift 264.5 kilograms (583.1 pounds) on her final attempt and nearly managed to lock it out. However, despite managing to get the bar off the floor, her grip started to give out before she reached the top.
