Tommy Fury earned a majority decision victory over Eddie Hall in the Misfits Boxing 23 main event, titled “Beauty vs The Beast,” on June 13 at the AO Arena in Manchester, England. The crossover boxing contest was scheduled for six two-minute rounds and headlined a card built around the dramatic size and experience difference between the two fighters. Despite Hall’s significant weight advantage, Fury controlled key phases of the fight with sharper boxing, movement, and ring awareness, doing enough across six rounds to secure the win on the judges’ scorecards.

At the weigh-in, Hall held a major weight advantage over Fury, coming in at over 325 pounds compared to Fury’s 217.5 pounds. Despite the gap of more than 100 pounds, the bout was contested under standard crossover boxing rules with judges scoring clean punching, control, and ring effectiveness.

Round-by-Round Flow of the Fight

Hall started the fight aggressively, using his strength and forward pressure to close distance in the opening rounds. His physical approach allowed him to have moments of success early, particularly when he was able to trap Fury along the ropes.

Fury responded by relying on movement, timing, and distance control. As the rounds progressed, he began landing cleaner shots while avoiding extended exchanges with Hall. His ability to reset the distance repeatedly became a key factor as the fight reached the middle rounds.

By rounds three and four, Fury’s pace and accuracy allowed him to take control of the contest. Hall continued to apply pressure but slowed as the fight went deeper, struggling to maintain the same output against the faster opponent.

Sixth Round and Final Decision

In the final rounds, Fury maintained composure and continued to score with clean punches from range. Hall attempted late pressure, but Fury’s movement limited significant damage.

After six completed rounds, the judges scored the contest in Fury’s favor via majority decision, reflecting a competitive but controlled performance.

Judges’ scores: 57-57, 58-56, 59-56

Going into the boxing match, both Eddie Hall and Tommy Fury were satisfied with how their preparation went. Moreover, they developed strategies, which were wildly different due to the massive weight difference. Hall intended to rely on his punching power and even predicted a third-round knockout. That did not end up being correct, as the fight lasted all six rounds with Fury taking the win.

It is important to note that Tommy Fury was much more experienced than Eddie Hall. The former World’s Strongest Man has spent the last couple of years involved in combat sports but only had one boxing match prior to this. It was against Hafthor Bjornsson, and it ended in a loss for Hall. On the other hand, he did find a lot of success in MMA, having beaten the 5x WSM champion, Mariusz Pudzianowski, and landed another spectacular victory in a 2 vs. 1 fight.

Tommy Fury has spent his entire life boxing and has performed exceptionally well on the professional scene. He has taken part in 11 boxing matches and has won all of them. Those include clashes against popular YouTubers KSI and Jake Paul. His most recent fight happened over one year ago, giving him plenty of time to recover, train, and improve.

Eddie Hall, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man, is recognized for his strength career highlighted by a 500-kilogram deadlift world record set in 2016. Since retiring from strongman competition, he has taken part in exhibition boxing matches.

After the main event, Misfits heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor entered the ring and called out Fury for a potential matchup. The confrontation briefly escalated before security separated the parties.

Fury left the ring with another crossover boxing win, while Hall earned respect for lasting the full distance against a far more experienced opponent.
