Enahoro Asein put on a show in the 83-kilogram weight class at the 2026 IPF World Classic Open Powerlifting Championships on June 16th in Druskininkai, Lithuania. He had to battle multiple incredible athletes in one of the most stacked divisions of the entire competition. However, that did not stop him from taking the spotlight with a mind-blowing 383-kilogram (844.4-pound) Raw Deadlift IPF World Record.

The U83KG weight class was almost impossible to predict, as a handful of athletes were hoping to get their hands on the gold medal, or at least a spot on the podium. As such, Enahoro Asein faced tremendous pressure but got his moment to shine on the deadlifts. He opened up with a lift of 355 kilograms (782.6 pounds) and got the crowd on their feet.

For his second attempt, Enahoro Asein immediately decided to go for the World Record. To do so, he loaded 383 kilograms (844.4 pounds), looking to exceed the previous mark by 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds). Asein utilized a sumo stance and a mixed grip to perform the deadlift, which moved quite smoothly after getting off the floor. He received white lights from the judges and officially set a new record.

Lastly, Enahoro Asein tried to pull 392.5 kilograms (865.3 pounds) on his final attempt, which would have secured him the bronze medal overall. Unfortunately, he was unsuccessful in doing so but still walked away with a World Record from his second attempt.
