Sad news has shaken the Brazilian bodybuilding community. On July 13, 2026, local outlet g1 confirmed that Men’s Physique IFBB Pro Mailson Araujo passed away at 35 after falling ill at his home.
As of this writing, a cause of death has not been revealed. According to the g1 report, his mother attempted to revive him after a medical emergency in Alagoinhas, Brazil, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The popular fitness influencer built a loyal fanbase, having amassed over 32,000 Instagram followers. From workouts to physique updates, Araujo proudly represented the IFBB Pro League.
In 2023, Araujo earned his IFBB Pro card after winning the Overall title at the Arnold Classic South America. He wasted no time and quickly tested himself against Pro-caliber talent at the Musclecontest Bahia Pro, where he secured fifth place. In the final showing of his career, Araujo finished fourth at the 2024 Musclecontest Brazil Pro.
