Today on Saturday, January 18, 2020, the second annual Arnold Pro Strongman USA Qualifier was held at the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles, California.

It was the last event for athletes to qualify for the 2020 Arnold Strongman Classic, which will take place from March 6-7 in Columbus, Ohio.

In today’s event, we witnessed many top Strongman athletes give their absolute best in an effort to come out on top. They participated in five events and in the end the 2019’s World’s Strongest Man Martin Licis emerged victorious with a score of 52, while Brian Shaw placed second with a score of 51; which means the 4x World’s Strongest Man champion did not qualify for the Arnold Classic in March.

Canada’s Maxime Boudreault was third with 50.5 points. Boudreault won the first three events of the competition and was in position to advance to Columbus before Licis and Shaw rallied in the final two events.
