Arnold Schwarzenegger has responded to the global health crisis by going into full Terminator mode.
The former bodybuilder and acting star has taken social distancing measures seriously when venturing out. Schwarzenegger was spotted wearing a black face mask decorated with the phrase “we’ll be back”- a throwback to his iconic saying, “I’ll be back,” from the Terminator movies. The white writing was on full display in a Terminator-style font. However, his mode of transport didn’t reflect the movie’s cyborg assassin, as the 72-year-old was spotted riding his bike on April 17, in Brentwood, California.
Schwarzenegger’s mask made a clear statement in response to the current international health scare. The icon followed up by posting a picture wearing the mask on social media. He posted an inspiring message, encouraging others to stay safe.
“We’ll be back,” he announced on Twitter. “We will get through this together. If you want to protect yourself in style and help feed @ASASafterschool families, get your mask now!”

The same face masks are available on the star’s online store at Represent.com. All net profits from sales will go to the charity After-School All-Stars. The non-profit organization was founded by Schwarzenegger in 1992 and provides free after-school programs to “keep children safe and help them succeed in school and life.”
The after-school programs provided by the organization are currently restricted due to the global health crisis. Instead, Schwarzenegger’s charity will support families by offering grocery shopping.
“With schools closed, we can’t provide our normal programming for our 100,000 kids, but we take our commitment to our families seriously,” Schwarzenegger said. “So we are pivoting to use our after-school staff to deliver groceries to our families.”
The masks cost $12.99 and provide a much-needed distraction to American citizens. Arnold Schwarzenegger has proved it’s possible to have the coolness of a cyborg assassin, and still have a big heart.
