Following his loss at the 2023 Legion Sports Fest Pro, it seems Erins Banks’ brash nature is finally catching up to him, prompting Brandon Hendrickson to speak up. In a series of recent Instagram stories, Hendrickson calls out Banks for his arrogance after falling short of Kyron Holden weeks ago.
Men’s Physique has never been more exciting as competitors lock in their preparations for the Mr. Olympia stage. Erin Banks is the current reigning Men’s Physique champion after he snatched the throne from the former three-time champ Brandon Hendrickson at 2022 Olympia. Banks’ season last year was filled with triumph as he also took gold at the Arnold Classic.
Banks has been known for his arrogance and aggressive demeanor toward fellow competitors. This has sparked rivalries between several of the Men’s Physique frontrunners including Jeremy Buendia.
After taking years off, Buendia is set to return to the stage at this year’s Olympia, though he isn’t being welcomed back with open arms. Banks has gone out of his way to express his dislike for Buendia and went as far as calling him ‘irrelevant.‘

For a while, Banks could put his money where his mouth was up until he competed at the 2023 Legion Sports Fest Pro which resulted in a major upset just three weeks out from defending his title in Orlando, Florida. Kyron Holden took the first-place finish and earned himself major respect, which set him up as a major factor in this year’s competition.
Erin Banks Under Fire Following His Most Recent Loss To Kyron Holden
Erin Banks has a target on his back and Hendrickson stepped up to the plate to take aim. In a series of Instagram stories, Brandon Hendrickson, who usually keeps a laid-back attitude, went on the attack after Banks’ recent defeat.
“How you go from cocky all year, literally “daring people to get you SECOND PLACE check” because you so cocky you think you gona win, everything you talk about is YOU, yourself, and you….
YOU get slapped with Humble Pie, not even one whole year as a champ and get beat (first time ever for Olympia champ)
…and now you Holier than thou
What a time
Keep the same energy goofy” Brandon Hendrickson post.
Brandon Hendrickson continued on, expressing that Banks should have motivated others instead of being “arrogant” and “cocky.”
“I had to get off that chest because as a man of God, I can’t stand when someone takes Gods greatest creation (the body) to be arrogant and cocky instead of inspiring and motivating others…You literally took Gods blessing and threw it in His face..if you didn’t think Karma is real, are you convinced now? Stop messing with Gods Blessings..
Theres one step from the limousine to the gutter!!!”
Hendrickson continues to highlight not only his success but his character as the former champion. Aside from that, Brandon said he would never act like Erin Banks has.
“I won 3 Olympias and an Arnold Classic title..Have WON 4 non-Olympia shows as the Olympia champ
And have never acted like this..never had this demeanor..and I have every right to talk and be cocky
FAST SUCCESS BUILDS EGO
SLOW SUCCESS BUILDS CHARACTER!!!!!!”
Brandon Hendrickson has proved himself a top athlete with his three Men’s Physique Olympia wins and is now more motivated than ever to take back the title. If Hendrickson pulls out the win, this would be his second time avenging the throne proving his tenacity as a bodybuilder.
The Men’s Physique division is full of potential considering Erin Banks, Jeremy Buendia, Kyron Holden, and Brandon Hendrickson all have the ability to take the gold this November 2-5 at the 2023 Mr. Olympia.
