After retiring from Strongman, Brian Shaw continued pursuing his competitive spirit in arm wrestling. In doing so, he has decided to organize a competition and give a platform for others to show their skills. As a result, he came up with the 2025 Strongest Arm On Earth, which will take place on August 15th in Loveland, Colorado. With less than two months remaining, Brian turned to YouTube and announced new matchups for the competition.

Upon revealing his plans of organizing a competition, Brian Shaw immediately put forward his objective of taking on Brendon Allen. Moreover, he talked about the matchup between the 2017 World’s Strongest Man, Eddie Hall, and another accomplished Strongman, Robert Oberst. However, he now revealed more good news, as another former WSM champion has joined the lineup.

Brian Shaw Announces Matchups for 2025 Strongest Arm On Earth

Brian Shaw started off by talking about the already familiar super matches between him and Allen, as well as Hall vs. Oberst. He officially confirmed that the duels will take place and spoke about some of his expectations, as well as the background of the participants.

Shaw vs. Allen:

“Brandon Allen has a powerlifting background, super strong guy, 2,430-lb classic raw total in powerlifting. You may have also seen him arm wrestle Larry Wheels at King of the Table. He beat Larry Wheels. So, definitely a guy that has been in the arm wrestling sport now for a number of years. He’s dangerous, and he’s a challenge for me. That’s why I wanted him to be my opponent. So I’m very excited about that.”

Hall vs. Oberst:

“It’s going to be ridiculous. They are going to go back and forth. Now, Oberst has been training. Eddie Hall got done with his fight; he is back into arm wrestling training now. Both are very excited about this match. I think it’s going to be a very interesting matchup, and over arm length, you know how much strength Eddie Hall has. I think that this one is going to be pretty fascinating.”

Martins Licis vs. Laurence ‘Big Loz’ Shahlaei

The brand-new matchup that Brian Shaw added to the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth will feature Martins Licis and Laurence Shahlaei. Both men have an incredible background in Strongman, making them some of the strongest men to ever live. Martins has won the 2019 World’s Strongest Man, 2021 Rogue Invitational, and the 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic. On the other hand, Laurence’s most prominent win came at the 2016 Europe’s Strongest Man.

“You probably have seen Laurence arm wrestle a little bit. He’s kind of been involved in arm wrestling now for a couple of years. Done a couple of tournaments over in the UK. Definitely making a lot of progress.

And Martins, he’s this athlete that did well with Strongman, he’s done some Jiu-Jitsu, and he’s done some arm wrestling. He’s kind of been all over the place. So, he is just an athlete; I think that’s probably the best way to say it. He has an insane grip and a lot of arm strength as well. So, this is a very interesting battle, I think. Again, it’s a very hard super match to call how that will play out.”
