Claire Myler made history at the 2024 Official Strongman Record Breakers event on April 20th, in Northern Ireland. During her performance, Claire managed to deadlift 300 kilograms (661.4 pounds) and thus set a new Masters World Record. So, Claire became the first Strongwoman over the age of 40 to reach this incredible milestone.
Up until recently, only one Strongwoman had officially achieved the 300-kilogram (661.4-pound) deadlift. However, that has changed over the past weekend, as Claire Myler has put her name on the list. She did so by using a deadlift suit, lifting straps, and a lifting belt.
Claire Myler’s 300-kilogram (661.4-pound) deadlift Masters World Record was a great display of her impeccable technique, which allowed her to complete the lift with ease. Most notably, Claire utilized the hitching maneuver to get the humongous weight to full lockout.
“OMG! I still cannot believe it and cannot stop smiling!”
Note: Claire Myler set Masters World Records in both the 40+ and 50+ divisions. The previous World Record stood at 285.5 kilograms (629.4 pounds).
