Claire Myler made history at the 2024 Official Strongman Record Breakers event on April 20th, in Northern Ireland. During her performance, Claire managed to deadlift 300 kilograms (661.4 pounds) and thus set a new Masters World Record. So, Claire became the first Strongwoman over the age of 40 to reach this incredible milestone.

Up until recently, only one Strongwoman had officially achieved the 300-kilogram (661.4-pound) deadlift. However, that has changed over the past weekend, as Claire Myler has put her name on the list. She did so by using a deadlift suit, lifting straps, and a lifting belt.

Claire Myler’s 300-kilogram (661.4-pound) deadlift Masters World Record was a great display of her impeccable technique, which allowed her to complete the lift with ease. Most notably, Claire utilized the hitching maneuver to get the humongous weight to full lockout.

“OMG! I still cannot believe it and cannot stop smiling!”

Note: Claire Myler set Masters World Records in both the 40+ and 50+ divisions. The previous World Record stood at 285.5 kilograms (629.4 pounds).

Claire Myler has been making significant improvements over the past few years and is now arguably in better shape than ever. So, seeing how she plans to take part in the 2024 Britain’s Strongest Man competition, Myler is ready to put in another impressive performance. Moreover, she is also expected to compete in some other elite shows afterwards, but she hasn’t confirmed anything yet.

Claire Myler has participated in three International and three National Strongwoman competitions, in which she often displayed great results. The most notable ones were her appearances at the 2022 and 2023 Masters World’s Strongest Woman competitions. In both of those, Claire placed third in the 40+ division and first in the 50+ division.

Another performance worth pointing out is the one Claire Myler put in at the 2023 UK’s Strongest Woman contest. She ended up in fourth place, but competed against Strongwomen from the Open age class, including Lucy Underdown and Rebecca Roberts.

Most recently, Claire Myler took part in the 2024 Arnold Amateur Strongwoman World Championships. Despite competing against younger athletes, Claire performed exceptionally well and managed to finish in second place.

Claire Myler has now made the biggest step of her career by setting the 300-kilogram (661.4-pound) Masters Deadlift World Record. This will certainly also boost her confidence and morale. So, we can expect some more incredible performances from Claire in the upcoming months.

It is also noteworthy that Claire Myler was not the only Strongwoman to set a new World Record at the 2024 Official Strongman Record Breakers. Instead, Sumer Johnson also deadlifted 300 kilograms (661.4 pounds) for a new record in the U82KG weight class.
