Day 3 of the 2019 CrossFit Games

Day 3 of the 2019 CrossFit Games (August 1-4) is coming to an end and we’re just a day away from the final events. The competition was exciting; however, it was also bittersweet with a lot of athletes and a few teams being eliminated from the competition in Madison, Wisconsin. 

Update: 2019 CrossFit Games – Final Standings

The team relay sprint eliminated 2 out of 11 teams and the individual sprint event wiped out half of the competitors (From 20 down to 10).

Team relay sprint results:

  1. CrossFit Krypton
  2. Invictus X
  3. Don’t Stop

Individual men’s sprint results:

  1. Saxon Panchik
  2. Björgvin Karl Guðmundsson
  3. Noah Ohlsen
  4. Matt Mcleod
  5. Will Moorad

Individual women’s sprint results:

  1. Kristin Holt
  2. Carolyne Prevost
  3. Tia-Clair Toomey
  4. Thuridur Erla Helgadottir
  5. Jamie Greene

The Team Big Chipper event has also been announced which will include the following events and cut teams down to seven in total…

There’s a 25-minute time cap:

For time, working in pairs:

  • 50 cheese curd cleans
  • 50 box jump-overs
  • 50 team axle-bar deadlifts
  • 50 synchro GHD sit-ups
  • 12 burpee Snail jump-overs
  • 30 synchro GHD sit-ups
  • 30 team axle-bar deadlifts
  • 30 box jump-overs
  • 30 cheese curd cleans

70-lb. curd, 30-in. box

100-lb. curd, 36-in. box

715-lb. deadlift

Teams will advance after 25 reps of each exercise on the way down and after 15 reps on the way back.”
