“RIP @davekalick Dave Kalick was my coach, brother, my best friend, my mentor, and much more. Dave was known for his love for bodybuilding, heavy metal music, dogs, his wife Victoria (Asian 😉), & devotion to his clients. Dave is one of the most compassionate people I’ve ever met.
The way he would pour his heart and soul into helping clients and friends is of such high character that it’s a rarity in modern society. He had morals and values that shined through his tough muscular exterior to reveal a soul that’s pure and caring and spread positivity and happiness to those he cared for. I’ve had the pleasure to work with Dave for the past 8 years.
In that time I’ve gained much more than I could ever expect from a coach. I’m forever grateful for the way Dave believed in me, his generosity , his wisdom, his knowledge, and the mindset he helped instill in me. I know I would not be where I am today without Dave and I’m eternally grateful for this man. We will mourn. We will also celebrate the existence of Dave Kalick. His loss is a tragedy and to many he will be missed.
May god rest your soul my brother.
RIP Dave Kalick” Haywood wrote.
The emotional tribute prompted other bodybuilders and figures of the sport to honor his memory.
Unfortunately, the bodybuilding and fitness community has been rocked by a wave of untimely deaths as of late. Last year, popular influencer Jo Lindner died of a suspected aneurysm at only 30 years old. In addition, Larissa Borges, who spent a week in a coma, and Brazilian bodybuilding star Christian Figueiredo died suddenly in a tragic sequence of events.
As of this writing, Kalick’s cause of death has yet to be revealed. Our staff at Fitness Volt extend our deepest sympathies to the friends, family, and loved ones of the late Dave Kalick.
