Although he rose to prominence through Strongman, Eddie Hall continued gathering fame with incredible stunts in combat sports. He faced two former World’s Strongest Man champions, Hafthor Bjornsson and Mariusz Pudzianowski, but was also a part of an unusual 1v2 matchup against the Neffati brothers. So, Hall is now looking toward his next fight, which prompted him to open up on the potential encounter with Dillon Danis.
Eddie Hall appeared on the ‘Disruptors’ podcast, where he led a long conversation with Rob Moore in regard to many aspects of his life. At one point, Hall touched on the topic of combat sports, including his current and upcoming experiences. Most notably, he talked about the fight against Dillon Danis, revealing that everything is going in favor of his opponent.

Eddie Hall Shares Opinion on the Fight Against Dillon Danis
Eddie Hall and Dillon Danis have already faced off in public, where they struck an informal agreement to fight under a couple of conditions. Well, Hall revealed that they have also been talking with multiple federations, trying to reach an agreement and sign a contract.
“I’m in talks at the minute with a few federations about fighting Dillon Danis, who is world-renowned. I think he won some big titles in jiu-jitsu. You know, he’s had a lot of fights and obviously you’ve seen him fight on Misfits and stuff like that. A bit of a ‘Love-him / Hate-him’ character.”
One of the conditions is that Eddie Hall has to cut down to 300 pounds (136 kilograms) of bodyweight. This emerged because of the obvious size difference between him and Dillon Danis. However, Eddie believes that the separation between them will not be as significant as people believe, since he will have to lose a lot of weight, while Danis will likely come in heavier than usual as well.

On the other hand, Hall mentioned that not only does he need to lose body fat, but also muscle mass in order to reach the goal. Consequently, his strength will not be at the desired level, which is damaging for Hall considering that it is one of the only factors that plays in his favor.
“From face value, it looks very unfair because he weighs 80 kilograms (Hall weighs 165-kg). Hear me out though… from what I gathered, he walks around at close to 100 kilograms.
As part of the stipulation, I’ve got to come down to under 300 lb, which is 135 kilograms. So come the fight, there will only be around a 35-kilogram difference…
I’ve got to lose 30 kilograms. If I were to be like 0% body fat, I could probably lose 30 kilograms and be 0% body fat. That’s just unrealistic… I’m going to have to lose muscle. You know, there’s going to have to be some muscle pulled back as well as the fat to get down to that weight.”
As a result, Eddie Hall believes that everything is going in favor of Dillon Danis, including the length of the rounds and the experience. However, Hall is not complaining, as he recognizes that his size and strength are the biggest advantages that one could have.
“By the time you factored in the weight loss, his weight gain, the round times, obviously everything’s going to be in his favor. It’s going to be five-minute rounds… I’ll have to sort of give him every advantage because I’ve got the biggest advantage, which is size and strength.”
Other Potential Matchups
Another potential opponent that has come up repeatedly in the past few months is Francis Ngannou. Eddie already shut down the rumors because he was not satisfied with the proposed monetary reward but now said that he would be willing to face off against one of the strongest MMA fighters in the world for $5,000,000. Eddie continued by saying that he would go all out at the start of the match, trying to finish Ngannou in the shortest time possible. So, it would clearly be a spectacular match to watch.
“I’d probably do it for five [million]. And I would still train my d**k off and try and beat him for five. Like I wouldn’t go in to take a beating. I would take 5 million and I would literally try and decimate him.”
Another name that has been tied to Eddie Hall is Jake Paul. The YouTube star turned boxer has already racked up a number of high-profile victories, beating the likes of Mike Tyson and others. He recently got knocked out by Anthony Joshua but still displayed great courage. Eddie would gladly accept a boxing match against Jake but believes that he would be a tough opponent.
“I’d fight him at boxing. Yeah, I think that’d be a tough, tough little battle actually. People play him down and people love to hate on Jake Paul, but I actually quite like the kid and some of the fights he’s taken… legitimately good fighters…
What people don’t quite realize is he’s making more money than any of the pro boxers probably put together. It’s mad. I think he deserves it because of how much ba**s he’s put on the line, you know, for a man that’s literally laid his bo***cks out for the whole world to see and win, draw, or lose, he’s gone in there… He more than well deserved what he’s got.”

It would certainly be one of the most unique matches ever seen, with the former World’s Strongest Man taking on one of the most skilled grapplers on earth. It remains to be seen how the situation will play out, but it is clear that Eddie is ready to step back into the octagon.
