Eddie Hall burst onto the big scene with his accomplishments in the sport of Strongman. However, he then transitioned into combat sports, where he already made a couple of notable appearances. Well, he is now ready for another challenge, as the former World’s Strongest Man and Dillon Danis have started teasing a potential fight between them.
Eddie Hall made the first step by sharing a post on Instagram. In the caption of the post, Hall talked about how big the fight will be and how he is going to throw around Dillon Danis in front of everyone.
“The World’s Strongest Man against the most talked about name in MMA. The clash the world never believed would happen. The biggest fight in history set to smash every record ever made. Dillon Danis you’re a dirtbag fraud who hides behind hype and when I ragdoll you in front of millions the whole world will see you were never real,” wrote Eddie Hall.

Dillon Danis, who is known for his combative personality and the ability to back it up, did not wait long to respond to Eddie Hall. He, however, turned to Instagram stories, where he had a few words to share.

“In a world first, I’m stepping in at 170 pounds against the World’s Strongest Man weighing 465. That’s balls of steel. Tell me who wouldn’t pay to watch that?
I’m literally gonna suplex him over the ropes I can’t wait,” wrote Dillon Danis.

Eddie Hall and Dillon Danis initially and unofficially agreed to a fight under the condition that the former World’s Strongest Man gets under 300 pounds (136.1 kilograms) of bodyweight. Hall revealed this agreement to KSI and stated that he needed 12 weeks to fulfill the requirement. As of now, it is unclear whether the agreement stands or if Dillon plans to agree to the fight regardless of Hall’s weight.
Dillon Danis is clearly the more experienced fighter of the two, having battled across multiple federations and combat sports. His most recent appearance in the ring saw him secure a submission win within less than 30 seconds, proving just how incredible his technical abilities are. Dillon also had the experience of working as a coach and training partner for Conor McGregor.
On the other hand, Eddie Hall is best known for winning the 2017 World’s Strongest Man and becoming the first person to deadlift 500 kilograms (1,102.3 pounds). However, in an unusual turn of events, Eddie ended up having a boxing match against Hafthor Bjornsson, one of his biggest Strongman rivals and the man who broke his deadlift record. Hall walked away defeated from the bout but did not let it discourage him from pursuing a career in combat sports.
Instead, Eddie Hall transitioned to MMA. There he achieved a spectacular KO win in a 2 vs. 1 match against the Neffati brothers. He then had a match against the 5x World’s Strongest Man and an experienced MMA athlete, Mariusz Pudzianowski. In this match, Hall achieved another impressive win in just 30 seconds.
Eddie Hall vs. Dillon Danis would certainly be one of the biggest and most exciting fights in recent times. Both men have attributes that work in their favor, as Eddie has the size and strength, while Dillon holds incredible technical abilities and experience. So, while nothing is confirmed yet, it will be exciting to see how the situation between the two unfolds.
