Rubiel “Neckzilla” Mosquera is one of the freakiest bodybuilders competing today. In a recent video, coach Hany Rambod critiqued and rated his physique ahead of the 2025 Mr. Olympia.

From the moment Mosquera entered the IFBB Pro League, he garnered comparisons to former eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman. Though he’s yet to showcase comparable condition to “The King,” Mosquera’s size, particularly his legs and arms, helped turn him into one of the most hyped prospects in the sport.

One year following his first Pro show, Mosquera managed to qualify for the Mr. Olympia. He picked up dominant victories at the 2025 Flex Pro Italy and Mr. Big Evolution shows in Europe. With the biggest event of the year approaching, Rambod opened up on what improvements he needs to make for a lights-out debut.

Hany Rambod Rates and Critiques Rubiel “Neckzilla” Mosquera’s Physique

In the YouTube video, Rambod assessed some of Mosquera’s mandatory poses.

Front Double Biceps

Rambod complimented Mosquera’s front double biceps pose, highlighting his v-taper and big arms.

“He’s got monster, monster arms, so if you look at those arms, he has good bicep, good forearms, good triceps, great tricep hang. It looks really, really good. I love the fact that you can see that v-taper from the front. I definitely think this is the best look he’s ever presented onstage.”

In the future, he shared that Mosquera can play around with how he hits this pose thanks to his size.

“This is a great pose on him. That front double bicep — again, sometimes, he tends to crunch down, sometimes he blows out.

I like the way he’s presenting here, but I think as he continues to build his conditioning, he can play around with the pose because he’s so big.”

Side Chest

Rambod notes that Mosquera’s chest, arms, and rear delts stand out in the side chest.

“He has more separation, more detail. Chest is popping with nice separation in there. He’s got great rear delts. That looks really good. Nice full chest, conditioning is definitely the best I’ve ever seen. Arms look fantastic.”

He urged the Men’s Open star to bring up his hamstrings since he’s so quad-dominant.

“Hamstrings, again, he’s so quad-dominant, he can always work on more hamstring for drop. But again, I’m just splitting hairs here guys. He looks absolutely phenomenal,” he adds. “Glutes are the hardest I’ve seen onstage so that looks really good.”

Back Double Biceps

In the back double biceps, Rambod acknowledged Mosquera’s size, but said he needs more separation through the inner back.

“One thing that you really want to be able to see here is that really separated back. He’s got a ton of size on that back, but he can have more separation,” explains Rambod.

“Let’s get a little bit more separated, let’s get a little bit more detail through that inner back. Even the lower trap, rhomboid area, let’s get a little more detail. That would be tremendous. Again, glutes are the tightest I’ve ever seen them, but they could be tighter, especially as he continues to really work on separation.”

Abs and Thigh

Once again, Rambod explained that muscle separation is what needs the most work on Mosquera’s physique.

“Separation is going to be key,” he said. Quads, normally, you’ll see a huge line right up into that hip flexor, the vastus lateralis, medialis, the separation between the two. Then, you just see everything just really pop.”

He added that Mosquera’s ab genetics are off the charts, and help support his abs and thigh pose.

“Crazy width [on his quads] but when he gets really dialed in it’s going to look even more impressive because of how much muscle mass that he has.”

“Look at that midsection, he’s got a nice six-pack. A lot of athletes it’s genetic. Some don’t have the six-pack. Some people have the four-pack, the Ronnies and the Phils did not have the kinds of midsections that he has in terms of just being able to be really blocked out.”

Hany Rambod’s Score — 8.3

Ultimately, Rambod gave “Neckzilla’s” physique a score of 8.3.

“Ten Sandows being the perfect score… I have Neckzilla at an 8.3. I think he looks fantastic. I cannot wait to see him onstage but right now, 8.3 and most of that is the fact that I know how much better he is going to continue to get as he creates more separation.”

Having already competed twice this year, fans are curious how Mosquera will fare against the best onstage. The 2025 Mr. Olympia is set for October 9-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
