Throughout his journey, Jay Cutler makes sure to share the process with his fans, providing his tried-and-true tips along the way. In a recent YouTube video, Cutler revealed his best advice for building a better chest.
“The best tip for building a better chest. Now this is a cable flat fly. Okay. Now the cables are going to give you constant tension. What we like about that is that with the momentum we don’t lose the tension. That is super important for stimulating muscle fibers.”
Jay Cutler explains that he usually does three sets of 10-12 repetitions and describes how to perform the flat cable flyes properly.

“I’m going to perform this exercise, usually three sets and those sets are going to consist of anywhere between 10 to 12 repetitions. When performing this exercise, you want to come up and not actually touch the cable handles together but keep that tension and then come back down” Cutler explained.
Cutler emphasizes the importance of controlling the repetition.
“Control the repetition! This can be done at any point in your chest workout and I suggest them for you guys trying to work on that stubborn chest.”
When it comes to working the upper body, Jay Cutler has plenty of advice. In the past, he has shared how to build the perfect chest. His workout consisted of six movements that would leave your pecs nice and pumped. In addition to revealing the best exercises, he has also shared the worst. This included the bench press, which he no longer uses out of fear of injury.
“Once I started to financially support myself through bodybuilding, I couldn’t take the chance of a flat bench because everyone I know that’s done a flat bench has torn their pec on the bench press, okay? Everybody.”
